writers.fbx¶
Output to the Autodesk FBX format. The pipeline requires the mesh to be built, as only mesh output is created. You must us filters.poisson or filters.greedyprojection to compute a mesh for the point cloud before outputting the FBX.

This stage requires a dynamic plugin to operate
Compilation¶
You must download and install the Autodesk SDK and then compile the PDAL FBX plugin against it. Visit https://www.autodesk.com/developer-network/platform-technologies/fbx-sdk-2019-0 to obtain a current copy of the SDK.

Options¶
- filename
FBX filename to write [Required]

Write ASCII FBX format. [Default: false]
- where
An expression that limits points passed to a writer. Points that don’t pass the expression skip the stage but are available to subsequent stages in a pipeline. [Default: no filtering]
- where_merge
A strategy for merging points skipped by a ‘where’ option when running in standard mode. If

, the skipped points are added to the first point view returned by the skipped filter. Iffalse
